“Ningbo Shengyu Phase I Sponge City Project” Successfully Completed Completion Acceptance | Adhering to the Typhoon, Accepting Under the Scorching Sun, Building a Solid City “Sponge Body”
Under the dual influence of Typhoon No. 7 "Lanika" and Typhoon No. 8 "Bonsai", the weather in Ningbo has been unpredictable recently, with alternating wind and rain, and scorching sun.
However, the bad weather did not stop the Sponge City Rainwater Collection and Utilization Technology Co., Ltd. from accepting the completion of the "Ningbo Shengyu Phase I Sponge City Project".
Our company, together with relevant units and expert teams, upholding a high degree of professionalism and professional competence, braved the wind and rain and the scorching sun to successfully complete this acceptance work, marking a satisfactory end to the project's stage.
Project Overview
The Ningbo Shengyu Digital Economy Industrial Park (Phase I) project is located in the XCL02 plot of the core area of Ningbo New Material Science and Technology City. The project is developed and operated by Ningbo Shengyu Industrial Park Development and Operation Co., Ltd., and Ningbo Heli Architectural Design Co., Ltd. is responsible for the design. In the key link of sponge city construction - the deepening design and construction of rainwater recycling project, Sponge City Rainwater Collection and Utilization Technology Co., Ltd. has played an indispensable role.
Rainwater Reuse System:
The rainwater collection and purification system designed and installed by our company has an annual rainwater reuse volume of 6,000 cubic meters. The purified rainwater is used for green irrigation, sanitary facility flushing, etc., with a water saving rate of over 50%, directly saving more than 10,000 yuan per year.

Completion Acceptance Meeting
At the completion acceptance meeting, despite the howling wind and rain outside the window, the person in charge of Zhejiang Construction Engineering reported on the project in a comprehensive and detailed manner.
Subsequently, experts Feng Guoguang, Wang Haojie, and Feng Jin commented on the project from their respective professional fields. They highly recognized the efforts and achievements made by the project in the construction of sponge cities, and also put forward valuable suggestions on some details, providing direction for the further improvement of the project.
As a party involved in the construction of the rainwater reuse system of the project, Lin Yongliang, chairman of our company, and Ge Chengchun, head of the engineering department, also participated in this evaluation meeting. Facing the bad weather, they did not flinch at all, actively participated in the discussion, and listened carefully to the opinions of all parties, demonstrating the company's highly responsible attitude towards the project, and also accumulated rich experience for better carrying out similar projects in the future.
On-site Visit and Project Highlights
After the meeting, the acceptance team braved the intermittent wind and rain to conduct an on-site inspection of the project site. The sponge city facilities responsible by our company on site became the focus of attention.
The system includes key parts such as diversion wells, sewage interception wells, electric diversion wells, and rainwater recovery machine rooms.
The diversion well can scientifically and reasonably divert rainwater of different water quality to ensure the efficient operation of the subsequent treatment process.
The sewage interception well is like a loyal guard, intercepting impurities and pollutants in the rainwater to prevent it from entering the recycling system and affecting water quality.
The electric diversion well can accurately divert the initial rainwater with more serious pollution according to the set parameters, ensuring that the quality of the rainwater entering the recovery machine room meets the requirements.
The rainwater recovery machine room is equipped with advanced equipment to deeply treat the collected rainwater so that it can meet various water needs such as green irrigation and road flushing in the park.
Through the coordinated operation of this series of facilities, the efficient recycling and utilization of rainwater resources is realized, which greatly improves the utilization efficiency of water resources in the park, reduces the dependence on municipal water supply, and conforms to the concept of "clean and use" in the construction of sponge cities.
In this acceptance process, despite the many challenges brought by the typhoon weather, all units worked together to successfully complete the task.
The completion acceptance of the "Ningbo Shengyu Phase I Sponge City Project" not only marks that the project has reached a new height in the field of sponge city construction, but also provides an excellent example for Ningbo's future urban construction.
